Memphis Belle

This was an OK 1990 film with Harry Connick, Jr. It was also a 1944 War Department film with actual footage of missions over occupied Europe - the U-Boat pens at Konigshaven. Now via the Internet Film Archive, it's all yours.

Filmed in 16 mm and 35 mm color film. The cameraman said that the hardest part was trying to capture a flak burst on film. Lots of them around, but he never got one.

Downloadable for your iPod from the Internet Archive.

It's just amazing what they went through. Seems like an ancient world now, doesn't it?
