I've been chewing over an uberpost for a few days and am kind of caught on the horns of a dilemma.  On one hand, I think this explains why "Woke" isn't going away anytime soon.  On the other hand, while I think I understand the situation - really, really - this is very complex stuff.

Tam points out that this isn't the 2010 blogosphere anymore - 300 word clickbait posts are what rule the 'nets - and this would be actual work to write, edit, condense, prune, and work the complexity down to something understandable in less than (dare I say it?) borepatchian length.  Heck, I may need to actually print out and highlight the posts that triggered this.

I dunno - sounds like work, not fun.  Like I said, foo.

Apologies for the lack of posting.  Things are insanely busy, and by the end of the day I'm pretty wiped out.  The Queen Of The World has taken a hankering to "Downton Abby" on Netflix, and I've been enjoying it with her.  Until last night when Matthew was killed off (spoiler alert!).  It seems that ratings tanked after this; maybe people watched it because it was good escapist fun, and when you start killing off your most likable characters it's less fun?

But go read T-Bolt's suggestion.  It will horrify all the Right Sort of People®.

Well, I don't have bronchitis after all

I have pneumonia.  Holy cow this has been miserable.

I've been outside a lot the last couple days because it's so nice and the deck positively sparkles.  This led to some hay fever, and so last night I took a Benadryl.

Oof.  It feels like wading through molasses.  I made a joke about a "Benadryl hangover" but it seems that's a real thing.  Blog later.

Tired, stressed, busy

Work, kids, siblings, the house - everything is hitting all at the same time.  got completely exhausted last week at work, then over the weekend, now looking at more of the same for work plus a family crisis.

Bah.  I'm getting too old for all this.  And I need to ride more, damn it.

Tax day came early for me

Since I'm going to be on vacation all next week, I'm sending my taxes out today.  It's annoying writing a check to Uncle Sam, but would be much more annoying getting a check back (and knowing I was giving him an interest-free loan).

Oh well, mustn't grumble.

Ouch

Physical Therapy started this week.  Some of these muscles haven't moved in months.  They're moving now, and not happy about it.

I guess it feels like getting back on a motorcycle ...

Sunny and in the 70s.  Instead of doing this, I go to Physical Therapy tomorrow.  Oh, foo.

Feeling better

Actually got out of bed.  Mat even post stuff later.

Light posting

My shoulder has really been wearing me down, with essentially continuous pain.  The broken collar bone ends are moving around, cutting tissue and causing bleeding and bruising.  I'm actually glad that surgery is tomorrow because this needs to get fixed.

I mean, it's interfering with my blogging, for crying out loud.

Today starts at 0800 and runs until 2200.  I'm "exercising influence" at work - "follow the sun" exercising, starting in Europe, then North America, and ending in Asia.

Blogging will be haphazard.

In the meantime, here's a picture of a cute kitten, because Internet, or something.

Collar bone not healing, so surgery will be February 12.  Should have done it 2 months ago.  Bah.

Frustrated

The shoulder feels like it's healing slowly - 3 months after the accident it still doesn't take much to make it feel goofy.  And after the rain stopped it briefly hit 60° here in the ATL.

I'm wondering if a ride around the neighborhood to test it is as stupid as it sounds.
