It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Ramadan

So, we once again just had the hottest year EVAH!!!one!!!  So just how hot is it?  So hot that it's snowing in the Sahara desert:

But fear not, faithful Progressive.  There is in fact, a scientific explanation: Global Warming causes everything:

Yeah, yeah, weather, climate.  Whatevs.  If it were actually hot you and I both know that the Press would be screaming "Global Warmeningz" rather than "Weather, not Climate".  Enjoy your cup of steaming hot hot hot mockery, Lefties.

And this is the time for everyone who ever said the words "Republican War on Science" to wipe the drool from their chins, sit down in the back of the room, and shut up.  Grown ups are talking here.

I haven't posted on Global Warming for a while, but this mockery is just too sweet.

I LOVE this here Glowbell Werming - it's been averaging about 30-40 degrees outside in southern Ontario this so-called winter.

I wish the wind currents would stay in this pattern.

I note that the NWS focuses on the number of hurricanes and tropical storms, a pretty meaningless statistic. They seem fascinated with 3 sigma events without apparently understanding what a 3 sigma event is.

The number of storms is meaningless because there are always cases where a storm popped above some arbitrary limit, like to "major hurricane" from just below, or to hurricane from tropical storm, and then weakened back down. Despite it not being significant in any way, that changes their counts.

Much more relevant is the total amount of storm days and how strong they were, which is called Accumulated Cyclone Energy. The guy who tracks this, a young Ph.D. at the Florida State University, finds that ACE is at about late 1970s levels, with no correlation to "global warming".

I'm sure he'll be forced out of the profession at any day.

Graybeard, kudos on staying all sciency. I find that on the topic I descend almost immediately into mockery. Not my finest hour, but I have to say that I simply love this video.

TE Lawrence described freezing temperatures and snow over there in his books; this is nothing new.
