You want complicated? Take 2+2=4 and apply the Tax Code to it. I think you end up with something around 2.78, although my accountant says he needs to check on it and get back to me.
@ Dave H: Unfortunately, you probably won't be seeing him again any time soon. 2+2=4 refers you to Schedule 27B-6, of which there is only one copy that is kept in the basement of the IRS's master records section, in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard."
