The definitive proof of media bias

The scribblers in the press simply don't ever think to say something like this:
“What the gun (proponents are) really more interested in is trying to use this so that it will allow people to have guns on their person in public places,” said Thom Mannard, executive director of the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence.

That’s right gun proponents want nothing more than to turn Michigan Avenue into a 21st century O.K. Corral. Next thing you know people will be shooting each other over a pair of shoes, neighborhood turf, or just because someone looked at them the “wrong” way. Then again this happens now in the city, but at least it is not with a legally owned handgun.
It never occurs to Mr. Thom Mannard that he's spouting nonsense, and distressingly low quality nonsense at that. This never occurs to him because he's never had a reporter say "So how's that Gun Control working out for ya, Thom?" No reporter has ever said that because they all - as good lefties - support Gun Control. Why would they re-examine one of their philosophical premises, no matter how flawed?

Of course, if (say) 20% of the newsroom reporters were conservative, Mr. Mannard would have been shown to be a fool, on nightly TV news. This would result in him providing us a higher caliber of nonsense, which would have the virtue of being less annoying. But if the Unicorns who pee high-test into your tank were, um, peeing high-test into your tank, gas would be less that $2.50.

Quod erat demonstrandum. The Czar of Muscovy says it better, and smarter. Perhaps our Autocrat could arrange an education for Mr. Mannard, perhaps with a firing squad or something? Think of it as a Quality Control program.
