900 miles

Did it in my usual 14+ hours.  The trick is to not stop much - I stopped four times, to gas up the Jeep.

Man, the traffic on I-35 stinks.  All along the way - Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas until Waco - drivers were courteous to a fault.  On I-35, not so much.  Or at all.

Driving ProTip: if the speed limit sign says "70", then going 65 in the left hand lane on a two lane highway is considered bad form, mkay?

Welcome back..I guess. sucks to be away from the family. Been there, done that, but not for as long a stint.
Speaking for the BAR blog, we are honored to have you in the vicinity. See you next weekend.

I work for a Texas company and my boss lives in Dallas and he confirms I 35 down there is awful. Not so in lovely Kansas where I live btw.

Which is why when I go from my abode by Corpus to St. Louis I cut through Houston to Texarkana then to Little Rock and up 67 to St. Louis I refuse to take 35 any more. Thank the Lord for truckers atlases

Avoid I-35 like the plague. TxDOT purposefully makes it suck so that people will support more Toll roads and trains.

Not to get all nutty conspiracy-theory on you or anything.
