Tolerance, good temper and sympathy — they are what matter really, and if the human race is not to collapse they must come to the front before long.
- E. M. Forster
Funny since I don't live there. It may be a while before the locals can appreciate the humorQ
Back in my Navy days, when I was stationed in San Diego (4 1/2 years), I spent dozens of weekends in LA and became VERY familiar with the roads. It was pre-Costco and pre-Apple Store... but there were other destinations that were just as "vital".I remember how the Big Dig made Boston commuters crazy ("it's taking f*cking forever") and how the rest of the country - including LA - laughed. Maybe it's schadenfreude, but I laughed so hard at the subtitles that I was in tears... :-)
