Seen inside FOB Borepatch

Back at Chez Borepatch, we had a screened in porch.  I'd run speaker wire to it, back when we added on to the house, and that part of the house was not much more than skeleton.  I hooked it up to the Home Theater system, so we could listen to music, under the candle light.

Trishia Yearwood was one of our favorites, and this was one of the favorites from her.

Well at FOB Borepatch, a thousand miles from home, there's music, and candles, and the kids.

Once you agree upon the price you and your family must pay for success, it enables you to ignore the minor hurts, the opponent's pressure, and the temporary failures.

Yep, FOBs are what you make em, and ties to home, regardless of how 'cryptic' compared to the real thing can make the memories come back in a heartbeat...

Old NFO, I make jokes about "Camp Borepatch" and "FOB Borepatch", but I don't deploy for a year.

There's a lot to be learned when you're away that perhaps you can't ever learn while you're there, but there's no comparison between what I'm going through and what Our Guys are going through.

It was true, when it was said "Happy is the land that has no history." But the verse from Tomothy is true, at least to me:

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Harsh, that. But the Lord doesn't need to say that to me again. :-/

BP, The pictures I have at work of my brood are from their very very young years. All but one are out of their teens now, and she's not far behind.
But, I like those pictures a lot. As they pull on the apron strings, and push the envelope, those pictures keep me going. We are on the count down to a successful launch.
