It's not hypocrisy at all. More power for the left is Good. Less power for the left is Bad. The left is therefore absolutely consistently scrupulous in doing what's Good at all times, to the best of their knowledge and ability.
Fairness is good when it has Good effects. Fairness to Bad People (us) is Very Bad Indeed.

Yep, France is second biggest importer of Libyan oil (after Italy IIRC). They get 16% of their crude from Libya.
