Negotiations at the UN climate summit have been suspended after developing countries withdrew their co-operation.Seems they think that there's some sort of back room deal that's being worked out, Chicago style (or Brussels style, which if anything is even worse). We'll see how things go getting the talks restarted.Delegations were angry at what they saw as moves by the Danish host government to sideline talks on more emission cuts under the Kyoto Protocol.
As news spread around the conference centre, activists chanted “We stand with Africa – Kyoto targets now”.

I need to hire Stan Winston to build me some monster-sized, animatronic eyeballs--so I can roll them. Legally-binding, but completely ignored. I'd like to see the list of industrialized countries that set limits and actually met them. (And I'm not talking about claiming to meet them.) I'm sure it's as long as the list of positive-feedback systems in nature.
TJP they meet the "emission-curbs" with their industrialized, wall-street bankrolled, three-card monty of "carbon trading" - and they even make money off that.
