The lioness bares her claws ...

... when her cub is threatened.
this will be a christmas and a 22nd birthday celebrated on new year's eve for my youngest of 3 daughters, in a locked psychiatric hospital.
Stephanie is finding out more about the court system's approach to mental health than I ever want to. This holiday season, keep her and her daughter in your prayers.

I will. I don't talk of it, but I've lived with that, and a marriage was left in smoky tatters from it. It's left me more compassionate, yet also more protective of my own self. I don't want to ever go through that again, and I won't, even if it means leaving something promising when the signs atart showing. Does that make me a coward? Perhaps. But what one does for a child is one thing, what one does for others, IS another.

I hope she finds some support and peace.

Brigid, amen.

A spouse is a choice, but a child is a whole different matter. To me, at least.

Thank you, for this support, and yes, I will move mountains for my daughter and this battle is not over.

Anyway, thank you.

Stephanie, what you're doing on your blog is incredibly important. Thank you.

Native, we're fine, thanks. But please keep Stephanie and her daughter in your prayers.
