Yes, I know I just tripped Godwin's Law

So talk to mein anwalt. Soylent Green offers this delicious entré, about how Google's helpful "autocomplete suggestions" are entirely missing for the term "climategate":
I just tried it and it’s still as they said. You can type all the way to c-l-i-m-a-t-e-g-a-t and not get a prompt other than climate Guatemala.
Warning, strong language on what Google might do to improve their searches at the link.

Adding this to their transparently political/anti-American home page stance (no Veteran's Day 2008 picture under G.W. "Prez From Hell" Bush, but respectful Veteran's Day 2009 home page under Barack "Prez Hopenchange" Obama), all I can think to say to them is the obvious:

Dudes, don't be evil.

Soylent adds a reference to what is offered at Bing:
Climategate 50,800,000 results

Interesting that the second suggestion item on Bing for “global warming” was “global warming hoax.”

Bing suggested Climategate straight up.

Google search for climategate at 6:14 EDT 10,700,000.

Google search for “google climategate” 380,000.

Bing search for “google climategate” 10,200,000.

Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate Google climategate

Yes, I know that doesn't change the standings. It's fun to do anyway.
