On this day in history

In 1981, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution declaring South Asia to be a nuclear free zone. The resolution's sponsor, Pakistan, set an inspiring example of a country voluntarily renouncing the siren song of atomic weaponry.

Glad that's all working out.

And on this day in 1901, the first Nobel Prize was awarded, to Barack Obama. Kidding! He had to wait until today.
