Joseph Haydn - Symphony No. 101 in D major, "The Clock" (finale)

You did remember to turn your clocks forward an hour, didn't you?  After all, tempus fugit, especially when Congress gets all up in your horological business.  At lease we have Haydn to help wake us up after a missing hour's sleep.

The second movement has a "ticking" rhythm  that gives this symphony its name.  I find it a little monotonous (and I dare say that on a missin hour's sleep I'd find it annoying), and so we'll have the finale here which is a delight.

Good choice for today - can just picture everyone scurrying around looking for that elusive lost hour!
