Ooh, pretty!

I for one had never considered the idea of leather grips for a 19-by-God-11, but they sure are pretty.  Seems some people like how they feel, too.

Me - and I'm sure that this is a dead giveaway of some sort of moral flaw - I like me some Mammoth Ivory grips.

While they certainly look cool, when your hand gets sweaty, they are a little too slippery for me. I'm having trouble finding the sweet spot between looking cool, and either being too smooth or too sharp.

I like the mammoth ivory, although they are out of budget for me. Mammoths are extinct, what's the harm?

I'm using a set of very grippy synthetics for grips and skateboard tape in place of checkering, so I have no real sense of style, I just want a good firm hold for USPSA.

So, what does it say about me that I like these?
