GO. WATCH. NOW.

You hear a lot about blather of "shared sacrifice."  Always said, of course, by people who don't have the slightest intention of sharing any sacrifice.

This is sacrifice.

Where we get men and women who will do this for us is a mystery for which I am profoundly grateful.

Damned furnace here in the new house.  Must be on the fritz.  Something's got in my eye ...

P.S. The "heros" tag is for the families.

I came home when my son was 6 months old. The first picture I took when I got off the plane still hangs in my living room. I know what this feels like.

Thanks for the reminder of the sacrifice of the current generation of military families.
