Political correctness is about blackmail. It is used to control insiders and aspiring insiders by creating an inevitable tension between private behavior — which soon enough becomes secret behavior — and an unreachable and sanctimonious standard. PC creates an institutional hypocrisy through which the nomenklatura can be policed. The price of being an “insider” is consenting to have the Sword of Damocles dangle over your head. This is just a snippet from a very insightful article by Richard "Belmont Club" Fernandez. Worth your time.
Do you wonder why the elite stick together? They have to.
Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and though We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. - Alfred Lord Tennyson

That it is, thanks for the link! Glad I don't play 'those' games...
"It is used to control insiders and aspiring insiders"...And people tend to want to be one of the group, i.e., an insider. I can't tell you how many little groups I'm not part of any more because I discovered that the only way I could be was to participate in the "group think/speak."
And in regards to enforcement, Political Correctness is also the Sharia Law of Liberalism - get caught out and The Public Hate descends.
