My dad was way scarier than Vader so I let him keep his death star.

Hey man! How come I can't FOLLOW your blog through Blogger? I don't see that option on the upper left of your blog.

Dude, never mind. I'm just losing it.

Reminds me of taking TheBoy to King Richard's Faire when he was ~ 7 months old.

Here I am, in full medieval barbarian garb (chain mail, broadsword, leather armor, etc.) giving this adorable little baby (who was in a knight costume BTW) his bottle.

I must have had a hundred pictures taken of me that day...

Parents assume a lot that is wrong. I have never been so embarrassed except by my parents. Hellish and confounding memories of large people misbehaving, seared instantly so deep that my little fingers could not claw them out of my eyes.
The sound of their inane and stupid laughter ringing hollowly in my ears, but I could not reach the little-knife for suicide. There is nothing worse than parents who are not parents but just big goofy dorks with no dignity.

Jay, you should post one of those pix. Heh.

Dirtcrashr, careful - I resemble that remark ... ;-)

Just don't force your kids to sing in choir if they don't like the weird-lady Choir Director. Or dress them up strange-smelling old clothes and force them to act out the Christmas Story for your adult church-friends. I was always afraid that the *Passion Story* was next, and nails scared the holy hell out of me.
But, I don't have kids upon whom to re-inflict those family memories.
