Critical security update for Adobe Flash

You want this, because people are being attacked right now.

Adobe Systems Inc. today issued a security update to its Flash player to plug at least a dozen security holes in the software, including some that hackers have been using in to break into vulnerable systems.

The latest update brings Flash player to version 10.0.32.18. Updates are available for most Flash installations on Windows, Mac and Linux machines. To find out what version of Flash you have, visit this page.

Flash is what makes Youtube work, so this is a high-value app for the Bad Buys to go after. You don't want to wait a week or three when there's attack code out there.

Thanks for that tip. I clicked the link, found that I was out of date, then clicked here and there to correct the situation. It was easy. I am now pure.

I'm usually pretty good about keeping up to date with antivirus and antispyware apps, but the little stuff like flash updates and adobe updates tend to slip through the net. Of course, Adobe Reader tends to need an update every single time it's opened, don't know why Adobe can't settle down and say it's good enough, they're always tinkering with it.

Bob, the reason they don't leave it alone is they need to patch security holes. There's been a lot of them for Adobe stuff lately, and they don't have a good update model, like Microsoft or iTunes (or Ubuntu).
