Posting has been off

It's not just that I've been traveling (although that put a crimp in posting) or that Mom was visiting and things were on an emotional roller coaster (although that was true).  Things have been somewhat off for a year or more.

On the drives between Atlanta and Austin, I had serious down time to think through some posts.  When I was in Atlanta I didn't have all the day to day family distractions that I love so much today.  And Wolfgang needs his daily visits to the Dog Park, or he'll chew the house to splinters.  All of these changes have seriously cut into my "serious blogging".

Apologies to you, dear reader.  I do have some topics in mind that are good blog fodder - mostly from reader comments, in fact.  Treat this as a plea for help, and leave a comment with a potential topic for a post or three.

Help me, Obi-Wan Reader; you're my only hope.

Hmm, how about attending another Dallas Area Blog shoot?
That would be good for a few posts.

May 26th - over Memorial day weekend.

How about "Journeys to the True Red America"? The media portrays Georgia as a benighted swamp of incestuous, toothless hillbillies sitting on the front porches of their shanties with a loaded scatter gun and a bad attitude.

Are there thoughtful, gentle folk out there? Is there whimsy? Culture?

And to be true to things show both the beauty and the other. Road Trips are always great blog fodder, but you have to get off the interstates to see it.

Less politics. We're all guilty of it. But you have a gift for the family stories. So indulge it. Tell us your best vacation stories. Your favorite memories from childhood. What you most appreciate about your mom. Your favorite memory from high school (no, not that one, the G-rated one). And so on.

Now that you've been down there a bit, the before/after comparison of free life to that in MA? :) You know, for those of us trying to make the same change...

The Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy, nor Roman...discuss.

Or...since you seem knowledgeable about composer's, do you think that 200 years from now, John Williams will get the same...respect/career credit that we currently give to a Mozart, Bach, or even Brahms?
