What does Mid-Winter's Day look like?

Something like this:

So what's noteworthy about this picture?  It's from Australia, where today is Mid-Summer's Day:
Snow and ice covering buildings and cars on December 19, 2010 at Mount Hotham,Victoria, as snow fell in Australia. The usual hot and summery December weather was replaced in parts by icy gusts sweeping up from the Southern Ocean, giving the country a taste of a white Christmas. Snow has fallen in parts of east coast states New South Wales and Victoria.
That's like snow falling in the Poconos on June 20.

Yeah, yeah - weather, climate, yadda yadda.  Does anyone think for a minute that six days of record heat in the summer wouldn't be front page news, with the Usual Suspects bloviating about the crisis in Global Warming Climate Change whatever the politically correct term is these days?

I didn't think so.  It's the hypocrisy that stinks.  That and the lousy science.

Good-grief! Sometimes we get a little skiing-snow up at Heavenly Valley on July 4th, but that's at 6,500 feet - a few hundred higher than Mt. Hotham - and it's fairly normal during a La Nina period when we get all the wet weather, it's been happening since I was a kid so it's nothing new, but you can bet the Climate Warming Slurpee-drinkers will digest it with great enthusiasm in their bong-water or else get an ice-cream headache...

That's really something!

Did you see in the Sydney Morning Herald, the article where Piers Corbyn is saying another mini ice age is starting? That's an interesting article at that link.

Has anyone seen Al Gore this week? Is he in Australia?

Let's say you are the most Liberal President since Wilson. And let's say the cat is out of the bag on the Global Warming scam. And let's say your previous Climate Change Czar was a Commie Catastrophe. You need a new czar for a fake problem, you need to spackle over the previous goof, and you need the new czar to be incompetent so he won't actually accomplish anything on this fake problem.

Hey! Ahnold needs a job! And he was totally ineffective at his previous one. And it'll look bipartisan because he's ostensibly an R. Genius!
