Don't hide your feelings, dude ...

Tell us what you really think about California:
ATTENTION: IF YOU RESIDE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DO NOT BID ON THIS AUCTION. YOUR BID WILL NOT BE HONORED.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ADAMS GUN EMPORIUM, LLC HAS CEASED DELIVERY OF ALL FIREARMS, FIREARMS PARTS AND AMMUNITION TO ALL POLICE DEPARTMENTS, POLICE OFFICERS AND RESIDENTS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE RESIDENTS OF, WHAT HAS BECOME THE PEOPLES REPUBLIK of KALIFORNIA, BECOME ANGRY ENOUGH, AND GROW ENOUGH COURAGE, TO REMOVE FROM OFFICE THE SOCIALIST POLITICIANS WHO PASSED SECTIONS 12072(F)(1) & 12083(C)(1) OF THE CALIFORNIA PENAL CODE INTO LAW AND THE GOVERNATOR WHO ALLOWED IT TO BECOME LAW, I SHALL NOT HONOR ANY FURTHER BIDS FROM THE RESIDENTS OF THE PEOPLES REPUBLIK of KALIFORNIA. THIS SHALL ALSO APPLY TO CURIO & RELICS (03) FIREARMS AND LICENSEES AND INCLUDE ANTIQUE FIREARMS AS WELL. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

I BELIEVE THAT THESE LAWS VIOLATE THE COMMERCE AND EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSES OF THE UNITED STATES CONSITUTION, AND ARE CLEARLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I REFUSE TO BE KALIFORNIKATED BY YOUR SOCIALIST POLITICAL HACKS. DON'T LIKE MY ATTITUDE, THEN GET BUSY RAISIN' H__L WITH THE SOCIALIST BENT POLITICAL TRAITORS WHO HAVE VIOLATED THEIR OATH OF OFFICE TO PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THESE UNITED STATES, AND WHO VOTED FOR THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL SET OF LAWS. INSIST, AS IS YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES, AND IN THE STRONGEST TERMS, THAT THEY REPEAL THESE ABOMINABLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL STATUTES BEFORE IT BECOMES NECESSARY FOR THE GOOD CITIZENS OF CALIFORNIA TO DO SO BY FORCE OF ARMS. TO DO LESS, CONSTITUTES MORAL COWARDICE IN THE FACE OF SOCIALIST OPPRESSION.
It was probably one of those Assault Shotguns, anyway.  Nice case hardening, though.

Glad to see that the California Legislature is keeping their citizens from the scourge of high-end double-barrel shotguns that are plaguing their inner cities.

Hat tip: Andrew, via email.

I get the feeling he's a little upset about those laws.

I haunt Gunbroker.com pretty frequently, both to buy and also just to window shop. Disclaimers like the one you quoted are really common. Some are simple and some really descriptive like this one.

It involves a TON of extra work on the part of the seller to sell/ship a gun to an auction winner in Cali. I've sold a gun or two on Gunbroker myself, and I won't ship there either.

My #5 rule of life is "Never Set Foot in California." I think you could modify it to "Never do any business with any entity affiliated with California" and label it Rule #5b.

Every shotgun ever made would seem like an assault shotgun if you were assaulted with it.

Everyone should have one.

Huh. That guy is a half-hour's drive from me. Wish I had the money for another double; that one's pretty.

WV: prize
California will not win it.

Phew! Not the same Bob Adams from whom I got my Colt 1909.

The structural problems he cites - stupid voters voting for stupid and inept but clever Socialists are directly attributable to Jesse Unruh's 1961 reapportionment whereby the CA Democrats gained eight new gerrymandered districts, which were bolstered in 1981 by Phil Burton adding another five (I think?).
While the popular vote has been able to elect the occasional Republican governor, the actual mechanisms of State power have remained in Democrat hands for over forty years, and these are people who do not listen to their constituents - they don't have to.
