Musical Interlude: Enter The Haggis

I was out at the CD store with #1 Son, and saw this group.  Hmmm, said I, I wonder what they sound like with a name like that?  After all, I like haggis (assuming you have a good butcher).

So I let my fingers do the walking to Youtube, and found this: Celtic/Rock/Bluegrass fusion.

They're pretty good. The fiddler was great, especially with the bluegrass-style riffs. It's all of my favorite genres rolled into one--a plus. Might check out amazon and pick up a CD.

that video is from a lonnnnnng time ago. They have matured greatly since that (and have written alot of even better material).

At the risk of exposing the extent of my Haggis Sacrilege... I'll stick my neck out here and admit that my favorite Haggis of all time comes available in a can via caledoniankitchen.com :)

Coupled with 'Neeps and Tatties, its a beautiful, beautiful experience.
