SB's condescending rhetorical style obscures his point. He comes off as a male conservative Maureen Dowd. How ironic that he'd mention an asshole factor. Mote, beam and all that.
Er, spelling error, the Tundra is the big one with a V-8 - the Tacoma is the 4-cyl and v-6 and ubiquitous Hilux equivalent. I had one once before the F-150, sold it cheap for $1500 with 230,000miles on the odo and it was worth every penny.

Saw that episode of "Top Gear" when we lived overseas and watched a lot of BBC. Other than Jeremy Clarkson's constant anti-American snark it's a good show.
At that time I was doing a good bit of research on some bad people roaming around the Sahel region of North Africa. The truck of choice? Toyota Hilux diesel.
Like many good things we don't import the Toyota diesels (I drove a 2000 Land Cruiser with a 4.2l diesel on assignment overseas and loved that truck).
I currently drive a 2003 Tacoma with the v-6 and am VERY happy with it. The only downside is that I get these monthly offers from the local Toyota dealer wanting to buy it and they seem unable to accept my increasingly strong answers of "NO"
