Australian criminal gangs have been producing simplified Stens and Owens and even Grease Guns in their motorcycle repair shops. Because of the close range the weapons are intended for, they don't worry about rifling.
Which makes sense, as these guns were designed to be made in standard machine shops instead of on specialized equipment.

I recently saw an article about using a 3d printed jig and some wire to rifle a barrel electrolytically. It was fascinating.
