Roast garlic rosemary chicken with root veg and apple crisp

Back later.  Not that I don't love all y'all, but I have the family to get fed.  Surprisingly, it's taking rather a long time to get the chicken to that perfect "golden brown and delicious" point.

Oh, and I took the motorcycle on the highway today.  At 70 MPH it still had something left.  Next weekend I think I may take it up to the Georgia Mountains.  Helen is having its annual Oktoberfest.  If you haven't been to a defunct-Georgia-Gold-Mining-town-cum-Alpine-tourist-village - on a motorcycle or not - you're missing out.

Good to know it's got the oomph for the freeway. What size engine is that?

BTW, words of experience: don't carry your driver's license in your shirt pocket when riding on the freeway. I was riding home from Toronto on the New York State Thruway and had stuck my driver's license in my shirt pocket after showing it at the border. Ten miles out of Buffalo I saw it flash past my face shield as the wind sucked it out and flung it onto the road behind me. I parked on the shoulder and walked back looking for it (and watching to see if it might have been stuck to the windshield of every semi that went past). About 80 yards back I found it lying in the passing lane.

Dave H, it's only a 250. I actually think the issue is more the weight than the power - it seems to have a very slight wobble at speed that a heavier bike might not (speculation alert).

Glad yu got your license back before you went through customs ...

Octoberfest in Helen. I remember that from my days at Georgia Tech. Ah, beer-clouded memories.
