The making of the song "Angel Flight"
If you've never heard the term, I explain it here. It's the flight where we bring our fallen soldiers home. Radney Foster recorded a song about it in 2009, and a damn fine one it is. This is how it came to be written.
I couldn't serve, medical condition prevented my enlistment so I've never heard of Angel Flight until now. I must confess, it brought a tear to my eye. God bless our troops, and God bless those pilots doing what must be an extremely painful job.
