Maureen Dowd wrote a famous column in the New York Times back in 2005,
coining the term:
But his humanitarianism will remain inhumane as long as he fails to
understand that the moral authority of parents who bury children killed
in Iraq is absolute.
I'm sure she has another column filled with outrage all queued up about how the Democrats
walked out of the Benghazi hearings without listening to the parents of the dead service members:
During the second portion of a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing
about Benghazi Thursday on Capitol Hill, the majority of Democrats on
the Committee left the room and refused to listen to the testimony of
Patricia Smith and Charles Woods. Ms. Smith is the mother of Sean Smith,
an information management officer killed in the 9/11 Benghazi attack.
Charles Woods is the father of Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was also
killed.
Yanno, I can't keep it straight about when grieving parents have absolute moral authority and when they don't. I guess it's complicated or something.

Grieving parents (not just service members' parents) have absolute moral authority (AMA) when it can be used to push liberal agendas or harm sitting conservatives. They have zero moral authority if their testimony pushes conservative agendas or harms sitting liberals.
Maureen Dowd needs to publish an addendum to her 2005 piece to clarify the obvious left-leaning bias.

We live in a world where morals and ethics have become 100% situational. That which is right today will surely be wrong tomorrow.
These politicians stand for nothing of substance, there is no defined goal in their lives or careers beyond their quest for power.
I wish I could say that it is only Democrats who have lost their moral compass...
