Sigh.

Mom doesn't need a retirement home, she needs assisted living.  3 months after moving into a retirement home.  It seems that her memory is no longer enough to live on her own, even in an Apartment setting.  This video is one that I wish I didn't understand, down in my marrow.

Been there ..... what can anyone say?

Seems to me that there is an epidemic of dementia in our seniors generation.

OMMAG, I don't know that it's an epidemic. Seniors are living longer than my Grandparents did.

I'm sorry, Ted. I went through it myself the last few years. Treasure her while you still can. Prayers going out.

My dad is in his early 60's, mom turns 60 next year, so I haven't had to deal with it yet, but I'm still terrified. Thoughts are with you.

Yup. Dad is 87, with Alzheimer's. I can relate. You have my sympathy, as does your mother.
