Saturday Night Guitar
Bob posted a very cool video of Junior Brown, which got me thinking about other amazing guitar players.
Eric Johnson. The part you'll recognize starts about 2 minutes in.
Chet Atkins and Les Paul. The first two and a half minutes are them goofing on each other but then it's, well - it's Chet Atkins and Les Paul.
Andres Segovia.
B.B. King and Eric Clapton.
Same instrument, different interpretations.
OK, Junior Brown, too, on his own design guitar:
I'd put in some Stevie Ray Vaughn and Otis Rush, too, but that much awesome compressed into a single blog post might rupture the fabric of Space-Time.

Outstanding!
Amazing talent. I hadn't heard of Junior Brown -- he can play about anything!
Love Junior Brown. I recommend a couple of relatively new guys, too: Jontavious Willis and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram.
I saw Jon Willis open for the Taj Mahal Trio recently. He has a new cd out; go get it!
Junior Brown's "My Wife Thinks You're Dead" causes shifty eyes in some older folks in the crowd and glares from their wives.
