Chickenmom, I have great memories from 50 years ago.(sigh)
I remember waxing down my sidewalk surfboard in the west Texas desert that summer. Our Wiamea was the smooth, nicely sloping sidewalk at the new elementary school.
BP,I don't mean to be the pedantic jerk, but it was the Solstice. Sol -- as in solar, as related to summer. The equinox happens in March & September. Pedantically, Brad
