I remember years ago. Think it was Continental had a "take me along" campaign, where a male businessman could buy a big fare business ticket and take his wife along for cheap or free. They had this little song. "take me a . . long. if you looooove me." that played on TV all the time. Nice idea. Except the follow up when they sent thank you letters to the spouses for riding on that "trip to Zurich", and quite a lot of the wives WEREN'T the women that were on the trip.
United was the culprit. I was pretty little when that came out. I just remembered the song. . and hearing about the backlash years later when I was playing pilot full time. hehehe
