Dangers of winter exposure

It's cold here in New England. It's even colder in Ontario, where they warn about how winter exposure can be very, very dangerous:
There are many dangers that winter storms pose on people and animals that affect life and liberty. Below are a number of these that can happen during the winter and precautions and help that can be given.
They give a very good list of winter dangers, and what to do about them.

Not listed is "don't fall off of a ski lift":
In a bizarre incident that will surely lead to litigation (or an out-of-court settlement), a skier at Colorado's ritzy Vail resort was left dangling upside down and pantsless from a chairlift last Thursday morning.
The victim suffered acute frostbite to the ego. Especially from the pictures taken by other skiers. Click through if you want to see the scene in the (ahem) all-together.

Let's be careful out there.
