So why is Joe Biden so under water in the polls?

It's a real mystery,that's for sure.

America's main export for over a decade has been US Debt in the form of Treasury Bills.

Was nice to live well beyond your income (taxes) as foreigners bought our US Treasuries to buy oil from OPEC via the petrodollar.

Already Saudi Arabia is accepting payment in many currencies, including the yuan, ruble, euro and some others including grams of gold.

As History showed when Great Britain's Pound Sterling lost its world reserve status everything doubled in price while folks like Nurses and garbage collectors worked without pay or went on strike. Was called the Winter of our discontent even though it lasted for several years.

England's Navy went from 1st in the World to now a single Aircraft Carrier that they cannot afford aircraft for (Queen Elizabeth) with a US Marine Air Wing stationed on her and a pair of frigates that are constantly being deployed as the rest of the fleet is yard boats.

AND England had America as a friendly Big Brother to protect and support her.

Who will be our protector when we too lose world reserve currency?

Protect your families, pray for wisdom

Okay, but now show the stats for Russia for 2022. Have they completed the train tunnel through the Himalayas yet? No...??

Lemme know how that works out for them.

As for Biden, puppets in banana republics always come out poorly, no matter who wins next time.

The opposition doesn't want them except for gibbet practice, and the home team wants only to be rid of them. His story is about to go from tragic to catastrophic.

Think in terms of the orcs who ended up as "meat, back on the menu" from The Two Towers for a glimpse of that future.

Even for you Aesop, a weird posting.

I don't drink when I post.

I don't post when drinking. Maybe an incomplete comment and you'll express your thoughts a bit clearer?

Banana Republic is an interesting metaphor. But the deposed El Presidente usually gets to make a scheduled exit and ends up by a pool in Miami or a chalet in Switzerland. Its the rules of the game...the incoming junta figures they'll be tossed in a few years too and wants to establish precendent.

I think both major US political parties are dead although still shambling about. They exist as fundraising shell corps and/or cutouts to put distance between the candidates and the hijinks.

The current administration reminds me increasingly of End Stage Soviet Union with Biden as Chernyekno or Andropov. Mumbling along, chests covered with dozens of medals from The Great Patriot War, really not in charge of anything. Around them you find various apparatchiks representing disparate and irreconcilable interest groups. They are nowhere near as smart/capable as they think they are, and the notion that the Stasi/NKVD/Silicon Valley can keep the Proles submissive forever is a dangerous fiction.

Will they figure it out? What could they do anything about it anyway?

I think the first time I read your blog was when you compared Obutthole's America to the fall of Rome. It was the first time I had seen such a piece and it was the best. Then everyone started doing it but nobody did the job of it that you did. I still have my Incitatus For Senate tee shirt too. I fell in love with Ancient Rome because of that and started dabbling in its history in my spare time. You strike a great balance between academics and info and entertaining banter.

ASM is awesome too - but he needs to write more. I don't think he is pulling his weight! ;)

Keep it up you guys.

Thanks, Glen. And I think that ASM has been busy over in the Dojo. ;-)

And I think that T-Shirt will come in handy when election season rolls around.
