Criminals will ignore these restrictions, leaving law-abiding citizens unable to defend themselves and their loved ones.Senate Bill 69, commonly referred to as “one-gun-a-month,” would impose an arbitrary one gun limit on an individual’s right to lawfully purchase a handgun within 30 days.Senate Bill 70 would ban many sales and transfers between private individuals without first paying fees and obtaining government permission. Firearm sales between friends, neighbors, or fellow hunters, would not be exempted. Transfers between family members are also likely to be banned based on the vague wording of the proposed legislation. This proposal would have no impact on crime and is completely unenforceable.Senate Bill 240 looks to create so-called “Red Flag” gun confiscation orders. This bill will take your constitutionally-guaranteed rights and throw them out the window with insufficient due process in place.

This is going to get ugly... Or should I say uglier than it already is...
And any gun owner who is affected by any of these laws can claim "standing" to sue the state in federal court.
One can hope that the resulting case will hit the SCOTUS quickly and Roberts will find his sanity long enough to tell Virginia - and other states with the same stupid ideas - where to pound sand.
We definitely need a SCOTUS precedent that makes it absolutely gddm clear that "shall not be infringed" has meaning, and that "shall not be infringed" invalidates state restrictions such as "may issue".

SCOTUS is not going to touch this with a 12 1/2' pole. Plus, who has the money to start a giant lawsuit??? The liberal judges will greenlight this regardless of the BOR.
I believe that we are too busy trying to play checkers on the same board that the government is playing chess. They have a goal and they have the financial resources and manpower to see that their orders are carried out. The communists and Marxists have finally figured out that their laws trump the BOR and they are laughing all the way to their cocktail balls and elbow rubbing!! Even though you and I know different how many are willing to die on this hill??

And none of the specific wordings matter. The Democrats let everyone know what their goals are. Everything that follows is mere tactics.
So it begins. SCOTUS should open a branch office in Richmond for all the business that's going to come their way, and the inscription over the door should read "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED."
Nothing can happen in the courts until any of these laws are actually passed. then every one, EVERY ONE, needs to be run through the courts. It will take time, it will take money (here's where the NRA can begin to redeem themselves,) and each lawsuit, each challenge MUST go to the Supremes, and yes, they MUST, finally, make clear that gun ownership is a God-given RIGHT!
In the meantime, RESIST! And shut up! Cash transactions for any firearm or ammunition purchases. Deal only with people you know to be trustworthy. Tell no one what you may have purchased, what you might own, or where it might be. The less other people know, especially "officials" with their paperwork, the less risk you run.
One last thing: and this is the most important: MAKE NO THREATS! Don't put your face in front of the news cameras, don't get up in the politicians faces, don't stomp and holler around in some government meeting saying what you're going to do and who you're going to do it to. Shut up!
They want you to threaten, to disrupt, to cross their line. There are laws already on the books about civil disobedience, assault, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats, and many more, that they can already use against you, and they will, make no mistake. This is their line. You cross it, and you'll be playing by their rules, and you'll most probably lose.
Be patient. Have your rallies, write your letters, avoid the Liberal media. Fight this fight by YOUR rules; make them cross YOUR line. You stand the line for the whole nation, and we are right there with you in this fight.
Because we all know, but for the Grace of Almighty God, this could be happening in a lot of other places to a lot of other people.
