Mini Review - Big Bang Theory

I can't believe that something this geeky-funny would ever be green-lighted for production.  I can't believe that anything that is this geeky-funny has stayed on TV this long.  Very highly recommended.

The only network TV shows we watch are Big Bang Theory, Castle, and Fringe. Sadly, Fringe is wrapping up & will soon be off the air.

I wasn't a TBBT fat at first, now I own all the DvDs! Watch new and re-runs regularly. Roomie and I quote them, often!
The appear for me is I'm a geek (but not as well educated) and I've always sought after beautiful women - with rare success. Sadly, I've a crush on Penny, the Kaley Cuoco character. She's young enough to be my daughter, so I should be gassed...

TBBT is my wife's favorite show, and "Fringe" is my son's favorite show.

Hmm...do I detect a pattern here?

Big Bang and The Walking Dead are the only shows I watch.

But it is second to "The IT Crowd", but maybe because it's British...

It has some of the smartest and best writing on TV. It never talks down to its audience and laughs with them not at them. Another vote for the IT Crowd its available on Netflix.

I'm going to be the turd in the punchbowl here and confess that I deeply hate this show. One of the guys on my barge watches it, and that means that I sort of have to as well, if I'm in the galley. I grew up a science geek. Second generation, really. I never met anyone who was that ultrabeta and feminine, and if I wanted to watch a room full of catty girl-children wind their way towards synchronized periods, I'd put on 'American Chopper'

Love the show. One of the funniest things is how true the characters are. My wife has several friends that are brilliant and wicked smart and socially inept like Sheldon. My wife cringes and I laugh. I also like watching for the errors they make. Not often, but it happens. It makes me feel smarter. Petty, but hey, it's all about me right? I also like that in thier world, they talk about preparedness and having a BOB and preps.

Paul, I am with you.

I watched about 5 or 10 minutes, and those were 5 or 10 minutes I'll never get back.

My wife was talking to her boss about the show, and said "I dated all of those guys when I was in college." Her boss replied, "As best I can tell, you married one."

I keep hoping she meant Wil Wheaton.
