Rifle display stand bleg

I'm looking for a display stand that would be suitable for displaying Great Grandfather's rifle on the mantel over the fireplace here at Camp Borepatch.

I'd like something free standing, and be able to display the powder horn as well.  Any recommendations?

So your looking to mount a gun on a board? I would go the deer hoof route. Something like this: http://media.liveauctiongroup.net/i/8586/9896877_1m.jpg?v=8CD4500F8AB4B40

Go by Wildlife Taxidermy in Lawrenceville and talk to Charley Watson. He has the experience and knowledge to present your Great Grandfather's rifle with the honor it deserves.

I think you could make one, but here's a good looking design.

Historical houses, etc. that I have seen generally have hooks directly in the wall, so you can easily grab the gun and ammo and head out to shoot at redcoats/Indians/Confederate marauders/roving Yankee soldiers/dammed revenuers/etc. So I suspect the authentic look would be no stand, just hooks.

Phenolic resin antlers!

Bonus: Plenty of things to hang the powder horn off of.
