Surgery today

The Queen Of The World is getting wrist surgery today.  Hopefully they'll fix her up - the break is pretty bad.

UPDATE 4 March 2021 18:26:  Successful surgery, likely going to be a long recovery.  Oof, what a day.

Prayers for you both.

Experience says that the hardware actually makes recoveries easier, at least some of the time. Prayers that this is one of those.

Speaking from experience, a broken wrist recovery can be long and painful. Shattered my throttle wrist at age 21. Pins were removed at about 2 months or so, and the cast was sectioned maybe a month later. Used that half cast for at least a month. Bought a 100cc dirt bike about 5 months into recovery, for the therapy. Took about a year to reach a point where front wheel bumps stopped generating a shock like a heavy jolt of static through my arm.
Ended up with a 1/4 turn wrist, which doesn't work too well on pavement with a 750cc bike.
I was treated by the chief orthopedic surgeon in a backwoods hospital.
