We rode to the beach this weekend, which is my excuse for the dearth of posting. The local HOG chapter had a ride to Ocean City, Maryland.
Mine is in the front. 350 miles round trip was a pretty nice ride, and it didn't rain on us coming back which was extra nice. The traffic, needless to say, was pretty bad in spots. If it was that bad at the beginning of May on a not particularly great weather weekend, I can only imagine what it will be like in July. Practicing my slow riding, I recalled why I never went to Ocean City the whole time I lived in Maryland before.
But it was a fun ride, as it always is with a group. And the boardwalk is maybe the biggest I've seen. This really doesn't do it justice. Click to embiggen.
Of course, we went to Thrasher's. It had the longest line I saw on the boardwalk, but their fries are famous.
The 350 miles we rode is maybe as much as we rode all last year - all of the surgeries really put a crimp into our outdoor activities. But it's good to be back in the saddle, even if the weather felt a lot more like April than May.
