Morons.Francona might go down as the best manager in the 111-year history of the franchise. Only Joe Cronin managed longer. Only Don Zimmer had a higher winning percentage (among those who managed here for at least five years). And when you break an 86-year-old championship drought, win two World Series titles in four seasons, you don’t have to worry about your legacy.

Great run the Indians had. My barber here at FOB Ken is a big Sawx fan, and I thank him for Tito every time I get a haircut.
I suppose one could argue he lost the team his last season in Boston, but I don't think anyone could have held that collection of entitled knuckleheads together. Maybe Billy Martin or Earl Weaver, but only because they'd be afraid Billy would be waiting in the tunnel with a fungo bat or Earl would murder 'em in their sleep, replace 'em with John Lowenstein or Floyd Rayford, and somehow win just as many ball games.
