Well it is possible that said gate might put out an EMP at any vehicle which attempted to pass without proper credentials.Or maybe they believe in the honor system.Or maybe those bricks slightly further down the roadway cover a pit that will swallow anyone or anything which dares pass without permission.Or maybe it's a government facility and the installation was done by a crony of the elected officials...
Its a roadblock for really fat cars. YOu know, its the obesity age.
It's merely a suggestion. Wouldn't want to offend anyone... would we?
