Applied Statistics
I spent the weekend unpacking boxes and organizing the garage. Lots of boxes, many of them books. It's surprising how many old books were no longer useful except for propping the door open.
I'm not saying that's the best use for a stat book, but I'm not not saying it, either.
No, that's not fair. If it's a good stats book, they cover a lot of very useful stuff. But speaking as a guy in front of two ceiling to floor, 3 foot wide bookshelves, and less than 15 feet away from two more the same size, a lot of the old books I have would best be used for that. Or holding up one corner of a dinner table. I just forced myself to put about two shelves worth (mostly 40+ year old junior college chemistry and biology books) in the recycling bin. To make room for the books I brought home from work when I retired.
Arguing with myself like, "But that's my CRC handbook of Chemistry and Physics!" "Yeah, but it's the 55th edition and they've got to be up to 100 by now".
