It's the State Department that caused the 3D printed gun design to be pulled, right?

Vox makes an observation:
Keep in mind, this is the very same State Department that sends tanks, jet fighters, and missiles to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.  But the freely distributed plans for a single-shot plastic pistol is somehow considered sufficient cause to justify violating the First and Second Amendments.
The Ship of State is captained and crewed by fools.  But it will be totally different when they run your health care.

No, this is just ONE more example of bureaucracy at it's "finest"... And I use that term VERY loosely...

They perceive the difference as being that the US government is sending those major-league armaments to other governments, which is OK since governments are staffed by "only ones". Whereas the 3D printed guns would be used by individuals, which (in the opinion of the government types) are irresponsible, untrained, and ignorant.

Except on the first Tuesday in November.

No, they still think that then. They just haven't figured out a way to get around it, yet.

That's actually a shitty example. ITAR is a dumb and overreaching law, yes, but it needs to be repealed, not selectively enforced.
