I just sold my Catalina 27 last year.

Maintenance, Slip rental, and other miscellaneous expenses over 8 years = more than the cost of the boat.

I was pretty happy to sell it. Still, I miss sailing.

The two happiest days of a boater's life: the day he buys it, and the day he sells it.

BOAT is an acronym:

Break
Out
Another
Thousand

Boat (n.) A hole in the water, usually surrounded by wood or fiberglass, into which some poor sap constantly & blindly pours money.

FWIW, My FIL has a horrible affliction -- he's stricken w/ antique wooden boat disease.
