Internet Security and Guns (no, it's not me)

It's Squeaky.

Seems that antivirus [vendor name redacted] was messing up her dad's computer, so she rode to the rescue. Well done, you!
If you don’t know this information beforehand, you will spend HOURS waiting for Windows to remove the program. [vendor name redacted], being an over-bearing waste of RAM, will try desperately to spend as long as possible pretending to uninstall so that you will finally give up and leave it on your computer until the day comes when you have 10 hours to spend waiting for it to finally follow through.
Slow, expensive, and feature-poor, but other than that it's awesome.

But one gentle reminder:
Also? As a fun aside? As soon as AVG was active, and internet surfing to sites that my dad and stepbrother have used consistently commenced, AVG noted that there was spyware that was being transferred to the machine (via IE). [vendor name redacted] didn’t catch that, in over 2 years of use.
Internet Explorer? Ack, ack, ack. Remember the Two Simple Rules - not to be confused with the Four Rules ...

Browser is next. :-) I have to take it one thing at a time, because he's been in a rut for a while.

It's like a 12-step program. ;-)
