So how's that gun control working out in England?

Jihadis who beheaded a Royal Army soldier had a gun:
“And then when I went up there was this black guy with a revolver and a kitchen knife, he had what looked like butcher’s tools and he had a little axe, to cut the bones, and two large knives and he said 'move off the body’.
Sure is a good thing there's all that gun control in the UK, because otherwise a soldier might have been able to shoot his attackers before they cut off his head.

Gun control worked as intended. The soldier was unable to fight back against an armed attacker. Just like at Fort Hood.

And apparently the Special Squad had to be called out because the first Bobbies on the scene were unarmed too...

Spent two weeks digging with an Armed Response officer recently. No doubt he was called out.

He was a quiet guy, but the stories he told were fascinating. The ones he did not tell were no doubt better.

He says that guns are somewhat difficult to obtain in UK. Ammunition very much so. Lots of crappy home brewed rounds turn up.

Starter pistols are often modified for criminal use. Such might have been the case here.

The people of the UK are still, as ever, strong and resolute. But the political inertia is enormous.

I asked folks if there were any UK politicians worthy of their respect. The only one....Boris Johnson. BoJo as he is sometimes called.

He seems to be something of a coherent Donald Trump with better hair.

I bet that the knee-jerk Parliamentary response will be to propose draconian anti-knife laws.

Jeremy, they already have draconian anti-knife laws.

That's true.

Amazing how well they work.

Still betting on their governing caste doing something even dumber now.
