Then, via an AR15 forum thread, there's this:
Yup. Ammo Jewelry.
Now this is all very cool, but my legal question is: does this count as "ammunition" in Massachusetts, and can you be convicted of felony possession for wearing it without a LTC?
“Ammunition”, cartridges or cartridge cases, primers (igniter), bullets or propellant powder designed for use in any firearm, rifle or shotgun.Sigh. This state is simply insane. Illegal jewelry. Gotta be an Emily Latella moment there, somewhere.

I'm sorry for anyone who is being forced to live in Massachusetts.
Well, we do have some of the most amusing politicians.
What was it that Will Rogers said? The problem with political jokes is that sometimes they get elected.
Ah yes, good old Massachusetts. Great place to be FROM. . . .
Can't wait for the day I escape. . .
I think the key part of the phrase is "designed for use in any firearm."
I'm going to interpret that to mean that modified bullets like mine and the brass flowers here, which are clearly no longer in the form of a firearm, would not warrant a felony charge.
