Veteran's Day weekend NFL protest

I'm all in on this:
MARK YOUR CALENDARS – National boycott of the NFL forSunday November 12th, Veterans Day Weekend. Boycott all football telecast, all fans, all ticket holders, stay away from attending any games, let them play to empty stadiums. Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.

I wish I could contribute but it is not possible to boycott that which I do not partake of. I don't even look up scores or standings for the NFL anymore. Heck, I don't even look up anything, NFL or otherwise, on ESPN.

Same for Hollywood. Haven't been in a movie theater or rented a DVD for a LONG time.

Sonsors? Don't drink Bud, don't buy Fords... I'm useless in this fight but if many more people join me it will eventually hurt them where it counts - on the bottom line.

Try watching NASCAR from Phoenix instead. The car owners had no problem threatening to fire any driver or crew member who disrespected the Flag or anthum

I'm in, but since I'm already boycotting... :-)

One of the concerns of the NFL, I'm sure, is that people will figure out what, whether they watch or not, their life goes on. The boss needs to be kept happy, the kids fed, the bills paid.

I started getting out of the NFL habit with the player strike in 1987. If the players and owners didn't care than why should I? It appears they still don't care.

I'm with the above; No NFL, Budweiser, or Fords in this house.

I watch NHL ice hockey. They always play the Star Spangled banner if a US team is playing, and the Canadian anthem if a Canadian team is playing (home team's anthem first). The players from both teams stand, and when the anthems are over, they salute in the traditional hockey way by banging their sticks on the ice.

No knees taken.

Easy for me since I don't patronize the NFL anyway.
