Never10.  There are useful tools at GRC; this is just the latest.

I've been using the "GWX Control Panel" on all the Win 7 machines I take care of.

I used to do it by hand, weeding out and blocking the various updates, but an automated tool frees me up to get on with other things.

Using GWX also.

A few days ago my computer "upgraded" to 10 all by itself. I came back and saw that it was converting to Windows 10.

Sure, NOW you tell us! :-)

I did the 'upgrade', but used your recommendations to increase security.
So far - so good.

Also, am trying Vivaldi browser.
Works okay.

I'm in the same boat as Wendy . . . . auto update. I did find on the MS tech pages a way to rollback from 10 to 7, which I was previously running.

Anyone know if there's a "downside risk" to rolling back to 7? I haven't installed any new anything since the Win 7 --> Win 10 fiasco of last week.
Thanks . . .
