RIP, Dick Dale. I don't know that this is the most famous guitar intro to a song, but I don't know that it isn't.
He also did a one-of-a-kind cover of Ghost Riders In The Sky.

Never knew Miserlou was a Middle Eastern song, but now I can hear it.
He was an amazing talent, that show with Stevie Ray Vaughn must have been epic.
In the interest of science, I actually watched the surfer movie referenced in the video years ago. I am not sure I wanted to admit that, but I feel better now.
